The Calphalon Commercial Nonstick Bakeware collection is excellent. I recommend them without reservation. I really like the 6 and 12 cup muffin pans. I have one 12 cup pan and two 6 cup pans. Sometimes it is nice to have a 6 cup for small batches of blueberry or corn muffins, so rather than buying two 12 and one 6, I think it makes more sense to have one 12 and two 6. If you are making a traditional cake mix it is just the right amount for 24 regular size cup cakes. Occasionally, my husband prefers cup cakes to a regular size cake, no crumbs or cutting and cup cakes are easy to take with you.

One note: you may want to check on your cup cakes / muffins a couple of minutes early. I have noticed that cakes are done a little quicker in pans with a dark finish. Many newer recipes will indicate the timing for dark finish bakeware. These pans are also a breeze to clean, just a little soap and water and you are done. Wonderful Pans! Highly recommended!

Also, read the Calphalon brochure in the box, if you plan to nest this pan with others make sure to put a paper towel between them to prevent any damage to the nonstick coating. And, this pan is not dishwasher safe.

I wouldn't even trade it for an All Clad bake pan, all my cookware is All Clad and I love it but nothing beats high quality, heavy duty Nonstick bakeware!

This cookware is the best I love it, and the price of this 5 Qt pan was such an amazing deal. I have gotten away from non-stick cookware and have only been using Calphalon Stainless Steel. It has 3 ply core through out the entire pan (not only on the bottom as some pans have) which allows it to heat evenly all the way up sides. The reason for not using non-stick pans is that the chemical it disperses can be fatal to my birds.

I first thought that with stainless steel my food would stick to the bottom of the pan but I was wrong they are beautiful and clean up nicely. I have been using these pans for about 10 years and I don't have any complaints. All I do is heat the pan for a couple minutes on low heat and then add a touch of oil and put in the food at medium/low you don't need high heat with these pans.

When I finish cooking I don't leave it on the hot burner, I move it to a different burner or if the pan is empty I put it on a dry towel on my counter and let it cool before washing it. If you put it directly in water from a hot burner your pan may warp from the drastic change in temperature. If you get any stains in it which can happen with heat all you need is a cleaner called "Bar Keepers Friend" which I use on the inside and bottom only and it will keep your pans looking like new, that is the only cleaner I have used in all the time I've had stainless steel cookware.

I don't know what the other reviews are about, but this pan isn't advertised with a lid. Most 8-12 inch pans don't come with lids. However, if you buy the VERY inexpensive Calphalon Contemporary Stainless 2 quart chef's pan from Amazon (which is an amazing deal) that lid fits this pan perfectly. I actually have 2 other lids from other Calphalon One pots/chef's pans that fit this little guy.

The weight is nice. Perfect for small portions. Cooks evenly and clean up is very easy. I love this thing and I am using it just as much as my 10 inch pan which gets used very frequently.

This is the pan that you can cook anything in. Great for cooking stir fry or pan fry dumplings. The non-stick coating is excellent. Easy to wash and clean. Well-made hinges. Good quality pot. Love that it comes with lid. The pot is not as heavy as I thought, which makes it easier to wash in the sink.

The only con I have is that the smaller handle still gets a little hot and the rubber grip on that handle seems like it might come off one day if not careful. Other than that, we use this pot very frequently (several times a week) and enjoy it very much. If using this pot, I highly recommend cooking with bamboo or wood utensils so you won't scratch up the non-stick coating. I would recommend this pot to others and would buy again.
